How Serenio Works

To understand how Serenio works, it’s important to first understand how Coronaviruses and other RNA viruses work.

How do Coronaviruses infect humans?

Coronaviruses (CoV’s) are enveloped RNA viruses that have a club-like S-protein or “spike protein.” This spike protein carries a positive charge and is the part of the virus responsible for binding to your cells. Research suggests that much like a magnet, the positively-charged spike protein actively seeks a negatively-charged receptor binding site, and this “connection” is the way in which the virus infects humans.

How does Serenio interrupt this process?

Serenio neutralizes Coronaviruses through a novel Photon-Mediated Electron Emitters (PMEE) technology invented by Dr. Rajah Vijay Kumar. The SCL-patented PMEE is made of a proprietary superalloy which releases a high concentration of negatively-charged, environmentally-safe electrons.

The hyper charged electrons released are immediately attracted to the S-protein of Coronaviruses and bind with it. Through this binding action, the PMEE technology can physically attenuate (i.e., physically neutralize and disable) the “homing” mechanism of the virus which is responsible for its ability to spread and infect people.

Tests of the device showed a 99.994% reduction1 of MS2 bacteriophage activity at 12 feet for 1 hour (which meets and exceeds FDA standards for decontamination by air purifiers).

Additional data from lab studies have shown significant virucidal impact in an EPA-approved phylogenetic surrogate for SARS-CoV-2, resulting in a 99.963% reduction in infectivity2.

Finally, testing in TNO Labs, a world-renowned Level 3 Biosafety Lab, concluded that a 94.9% reduction of infectious viral particles was obtained after 15 minutes of exposure to the device.

How is Serenio different from other devices,
such as filters and air purifiers?

The Serenio device is not a plasma generator, ionizer, UV/ozone disinfector, or HEPA filter; devices such as these are traditionally known as “disinfectant units” or sterilizers, and they are used for air purification of all types — cleansing the air of allergens, dust, pollen, irritants, etc. — rather than specifically for Coronaviruses.

The Serenio device does not use or create any chemicals, nor does it produce ozone or ionize the air like some air purifying technologies—it only emits electrons, which we are constantly surrounded by and cause us no harm.

Serenio has no effect on human lung tissue, animal tissue, plant tissue, bacteria, fungi, and eco-friendly microorganisms in the environment. Further, the device does not create any interference with electronics, including pacemakers and other electronic medical devices. As a result, Serenio can be used continuously in most indoor environments..
